Howdy Faenarians!

I have some updated news for everyone regarding Kickstarter fulfillment and a new item we'll be releasing. I'd also like to explain why the site suddenly poofed the other day!

First up, the site outage was because weezee and I both forgetting that it was time to renew the hosting! I have fixed this temporarily by updating for only a month instead of an entire year as we did before. However, it is cheaper in the long run to renew the hosting for a year at a time. Especially since the cost of hosting has gone up significantly. As such, we will be doing a site fundraiser to help cover this expense.

Before I get into the fundraiser details, however, I want to touch base on the Kickstarter stretch goals. We are still working on the FA items we promised. weezee started shading the Wildkin set this week and skellri is working on updating our races to make them a little fancier than what we already had. I do have bad news to share; we weren't able to work with SapphieChan on bringing new FA sets to Faenaria (yay scheduling conflicts) and that is why we've got skellri working to make the beastfolk races extra special!

There's something else weezee and I have discussed a lot lately and that's the state of baby pets going forward. We both feel this is an area of the site that doesn't get a lot of attention compared to the adults. We're hesitant to put resources into things that aren't seeing a lot of use, especially considering how many other things we should be focused on instead. Going forward we will drastically reduce the number of baby pets we release. Part of our conversations included what to do about the baby pets from the Kickstarter and we came to the conclusion that only the dire baby pets will be completed.

Now, some of you might be wondering what this means since you specifically made purchases for custom baby making items. We have, to the best of our ability, accounted for this and will be offering an item of equal value as replacement. Introducing the Inconspicuous Cookie... With this item you can now "resize" your custom adult pets so that they are small/big enough to accompany your avatar on all its adventures just as the baby pets do! This is our "in universe" explanation for why a brontosaurus shows more than a toe when standing next to the FA.

We really feel that this will be a better, more popular feature than continuing to release baby pets.

Key Things to Note:
• Existing baby pets will be unaffected. They're not going anywhere. We're just not planning to add more on a regular basis. Eventually, we would like for all released pets (at least non-Limited and non-Legendary rarities) to have a baby version but it isn't a priority now.
• If you purchased or have received Ancient Scrolls these have now been replaced with the Inconspicuous Cookie. This item will be replacing the Ancient Scroll on Patreon as well.
• If you were to receive Ancient Scrolls as part of the 2021 Kickstarter then you will receive Inconspicuous Cookies instead. However, if you would prefer to trade these for adult custom making items please reach out to weezee or I with a list of what you'd like instead.
• Ominous Scrolls will remain and baby dire wolf, owl, stag, and fox (which are 100% finished) will be part of our next FA release.
• Shop pets can't be "cookied", but that doesn't mean they won't start appearing in the FA shops!

• To "cookie" your pet, please submit a request via this thread.

I know that's a lot to take in, so we'll be holding off on a fundraiser until later this coming week. We want to give everyone a chance to digest the change. I will also be releasing a new list of pets that will be made available instead of the babies. This will include new pony/unicorn variants and some other new species from our list of suggested pet genera.

Would it be possible to see how the shrinked pets look like with the FA? Which side are they on, before or behind or above, which size. Maybe only in black silhouetting.
I see one pet with Lucy, so that type is anwered xD, but what about f. e. the different horse-likes, they might look weird when shrinked too much? Besides Alicorns, they could work^^
I loved all the many baby pets btw :p

So I'm pretty sure we've worked out placement of all the Cookie (this is what we decided on for the shrunken adults) pets, so.... I will work on getting them added to the FA Codex... or maybe I should just do a whole new page and add the babies to it... or something.. Anywho, we'll get you a page with all the placements ASAP, and be sure to come back and link you to it!!

I love that you flipped some of them - I was wondering how they would even fit into an avatar with their original perspective!

Once a pet has been cookied, is there anything in the database that indicates the associated pet ID? Like, would it be technically possible to display a marker in the Snuggery that says which pet has been cookied already?

(Just wondering for the future. I mean, right now, it's still easy to keep track, but later?)

I'm glad you like them, and yes, some are flipped cuz it's the only way (to me) that it looked right. xD

As for an indicator in the database, no. It's all done by hand so that would also need to be done by hand.

hey rwo will the centaur race be updatted to or will it be like it is cause i dont know if it will also can u add a kitsune race for both genders cause there isnt any on here before if u ok with this idea let me know ok
