so..... i WAS going to do NaNo. even did some planning back at the beginning of the year. (what? a pantser doing some planning?! )
yeah, i had some of the plot planning and even started on some of the characters as well.
and then we started planning to move, and i stopped my planning. we just moved last weekend (settlement was the 21st) and I'm still settling in working from home.
so, yeah. no NaNo this year. but I'll cheer on everyone who IS writing

Made it to 20k! Extra pleased with that because I have a day of "get up in the middle of the night to travel"-day tomorrow, so it's quite likely that I'll be thoroughly dead when I get back home, and not be able to get a whole lot of words out

50k in the bag! Wohoo
And this is actually where I quit as well. I've struggled so badly this year, tinkering with three different stories but never quite enjoying any of them or figuring out where they were going. I was determined to keep my winning streak going, and get past 50k, so I am super satisfied with having managed that. It's totally not worth it to keep torturing myself the rest of the month though, enough is enough!

Congrats on hitting 50k Kiran!! I totally agree, once you reach that goal don't force yourself to keep going unless you actually feel good about doing so. 
Some years I have gone over and others I've called it quits. Just depends on how I feel.
I hit 30k yesterday! I'm slowly catching up! I have plenty of time off this week due to the holiday so I am aiming to hit 40k (at least) by the weekend.
