This is supposed to be some random character I was in a dream I had. I still can't get over how nice that dream was...

It started with me playing the character of a kid who felt like exploring the world. So one day, when the skies were white and fogged over-looking, I got out of bed and exited the log cabin which was my home. Bringing supplies with me didn't cross my mind at all as I headed into the woods.
I was still wandering around in the woods late into the evening when it was getting dark, and I was getting hungry. Pretty soon, it started raining. As I stumbled about in the foggy woods, I suddenly saw a light and heard some noise somewhere. I headed to the light without thinking.
Pretty soon, I saw before me an extremely steep set of what my dream-self referred to as "stairs." If you want to picture it, imagine drawers just barely open so that there was a ledge to climb upwards with starting from the bottom drawer.
Apparently, in this world, every establishment was built on a set of drawers-stairs. When it was closing time, the stairs would be pulled back, and when it was opening time, the stairs would be pulled out and accessible to all. Clearly, the establishment I found was somewhat lazy about closing time.
I pulled myself up each stair by climbing then collapsed into the warm room of the establishment. It seemed to be an inn.
A man sitting on the floor glared at me.
"This inn's not for freeloaders. Get out," he snarled. He was wearing a bandanna on his head, an open vest, a sash, and ragged trousers. I realized that a pirate crew had paid and taken over the establishment. In this world, pirates traveled a lot, so they would buy out whole inns to inhabit on some days.
I didn't have the energy to respond, but thankfully, another pirate entered.
"Hey let the kid stay." Came a gruff voice from behind the man who was sitting. The voice belonged to a brawny old man who wore the same attire as the man who was sitting. "She can work for us eh? It wouldn't do to throw a kid out in the rain would it?"
The man who was sitting huffed, and walked passed the old man into another room.
The old man said, "Alright kid, you're working for us now."
For the next few weeks I scrubbed floors, washed dishes, and did other chores around the inn. The inn-keep stood behind his bar and only ever served drinks at night. I felt I was having a lot of fun. For some reason my character didn't like home very much, and was extremely happy to be with the pirate crew. I learned the first pirate I'd seen was named Ace, the old man named Clover, the rest of the pirates were named: Spade, Dice, Deck, and Cut. I didn't have a name.
The dream ended after that.
In a few half-awake naps I'd had, I traveled around with the pirate crew, until one day I bumped into my family. I tried to be with my family for a while. One day the pirate crew came and I went touring a town with them and my sister. When my sister suddenly stopped in the middle of town and entered a store, I realized the pirates were leaving and I had to choose between my sister and them. I went back to my sister for a bit, but when I entered to store, I couldn't stand it and ran out into the streets and into the direction where the pirates had been heading before.
When I found them, Spade turned around and said: "Hey, you're back? I guess you're with us then."
And thus my unnamed dream-character joined the pirates.
