Hi! I'm luvloveless! You can just call me luv if you want. Welcome to my Cozy Corner of the Frolic and Romp forum. Pull up a cushion and make yourself comfortable. I'd love to chat about with you about your hobbies/crafts or just life in general. I'm from a long line of craftspeople so I love to talk about making things. I also love to garden. And cats. I love all the cats.

Meow! Cats are awesome! Sadly, I has no cats right now or pets of any kind really. My living arrangements don't really allow for it. (I'm a live in caretaker)

What kind of crafts do you do?

I am owned by 3 cats right now. And a dog.

I do just about any and all crafts. I really like counted cross stitch, and other needlework. I sew, too. I know the basics of knitting and crochet although I'm not very good at either one. My favorite though is papercrafting. I love making greeting cards and books and such.

Hello, fellow cat person! I have been claimed by one cat and her name is Maleficent. Do you play the phone game Neko Atsume? It's a simple and fun game where you decorate your house and yard, and then you are visited by tons of cute cats!
I was thinking about picking up papercrafting! I'm just trying to figure out how to start haha

bwahahaha! i just picked up something from my work a couple days ago that would be perfect for you, luv xD it's a cross-stitch of an alphabet of cats. i haven't decided if i want to do it and keep it, give it as a gift as is, or make it and frame it to send as a gift but either way, i snagged it for 98 cents...i couldn't resist even though i haven't done any sort of cross-stitch in nearly 8 years. it still had the original store price on it and everything @__@

Those sound like fun hobbies, luv! My Mom did a lot of crochet, but I never picked it up from her. I started to a couple times but always put it off. I'd still like to learn maybe, but I'm not sure. Maybe someday. :p

I'd totally forgotten that I made this thread! *blush* Sorry about that!

Hi Michiyu! I've always liked working with my hands, too. Nearly all of my family does some kind of handcraft, so it is just a normal thing for me. I want to work on my drawing skills. They are very rusty, so I'll need a lot of practice. I think I may have too many hobbies.

Ah well a good way to curb that is to put yourself into one hobby.

But that's no fun!! I wouldn't be able to shop for nearly as many art and craft supplies. ;P

Personally I'd say there's no such thing as too many hobbies :p

Hi everyone, I think I'll join the crafting party! I love all kinds of arts and crafts, but I think my favs are digital art (although I've so much to learn) and tatting. I have done some basic crochet, finished a couple of quilts, and dabbled in cross stitch, clay, beads, jewelry, paper crafts including scrapbooking, woodworking, and netting. And probably even more than that... My hubby and I had a business making macrame items several years ago. It was fun and we were able to travel, but when he was called up to active duty we closed. Now we have all of these supplies and inventory sitting in storage

Anyways, It is exciting finding so many crafters here on Origins!

Luv, have you tried subscribing to the thread so you will get notices when someone posts in here?

Hello fellow craft-aholic!! I really want to learn to tat!! It's soooo pretty! Digital art is also something I've dabbled in. I can do layers, but that's about it. I need to learn some masking techniques.

Subscribe??? We can do that??! *goes off to try and learn something*

I love tatting. It makes me happy, keeps me from constantly shoving food in my face (I eat if my hands aren't busy ) and is so easy to take with you. I did a couple of snowflakes the other day while at six flags

Yep, we sure can *points to "subscribe/unsubscribe" link at the top of the forum*

Heh! Found it! *subscribes to own thread*

That's one of the problems I run into with my paper craft. It's not very portable, or when I think I have everything I need for a project I end up leaving out something important (like glue).
