Like previous years we've come up with a great list of prizes/incentives for those brave (or foolish) enough to attempt this challenge!
It all starts with a star! Whenever you reach a milestone (10k words, 20k words, all the way up to 50k words!) you will receive one star! If you collect five stars (and reach 50,000 words) you will receive prizes as follows!

as i mentioned on the discord - I'll be twice a rebel this year.
since my plot is just not all-consuming and pestering me up the wazoo this year, I'll be participating in NaKniSweMo - National Knit a Sweater Month. the idea is similar to NaNo - knitting a sweater with 50,000 (or more) stitches.
I'm first a rebel because I'll be crocheting my sweater, and second a rebel because, as of now, I have an initial count of only 15,740 stitches!
(there are some rows where I have an exact count, but there's some clusters of 6 stitches, so I don't know how much the stitch count will go up, but not that much!)
so my NaNo this year is actually a NaCro!

I got started yesterday after midnight so I reached my word count for today already. I'm planning to do my word count for tomorrow tonight, or at least part of it, so that I'm a little bit ahead of things should I have a day where writing is difficult.
