As the title says, what is your idea of a perfect pet species? If you could pick one creature, either taken from real life or mythology, to see here on Origins what would it be and why?

A rabbit! Specifically, the rabbit on the moon that is making mochi from Japanese mythology!
I've just always loved rabbits, and have had people compare me to one, so rabbits mean a lot to me. Plus the one in the myth lives on the moon, and due to a favorite childhood hero I have a particular fondness for the moon. And it's making mochi, one of the most delicious foods ever! So I really hope we'll get to see a moon rabbit pet someday!

Yeah, dragons... I don't think anyone can argue with how epic dragons are. I'm personally also really fond of feathered and furred dragons, which you don't see often in Western style dragons: link and link.

We have unicorns, we have pegasi(?), others have mentioned dragons already sooo........ Griffins?

Because I love things with wings xD and equines and felines..... and and and

Kirin and Slephnir. ^u^ Besides the fact that Im obsessed with mythical equines in general, they can have nearly unlimited characteristics, especially Kirin.

I would really like to see an elephant
It could be a fantasy elephant or an real elephant, as long as it's elephant

Woahh, a dragon would be beyond cool. I'm thinking more creatures with feathers.

Since Spectrum_Wings has already mentionned a kirin, I'll go with my equally loved wolf!
But I admit I wouldn't mind seing lions, dragons, dolphins, griffins, fennecs and so much more cuties!

I would actually love to see something like a regal looking stag or even something like a hippocampus or kelpie. There's also a cockatrice (these can look really neat and not so chicken like if done right xD) and some form of serpent, sea or otherwise!

Woahhhh, people have such great ideas! Some of those creatures... I have no idea what they even are, haha!

You know what I would have a lot of fun with? Peacocks and other heavily plumaged birds!

A Chimera! Three heads and a fusion between three different critters because why not.

@dawnreader: Completely agreeing!!! Feathers are awesome and necessary.

Peacock hybrids? Other creatures with peacock plumage?

I haven't seen anyone mention a hippogryph, so why not? I play WoW a lot and my favorite mounts to ride are the hippogryphs, they're very pretty and can look regal if drawn right.

Also what about different variations of the Quetzalcoatl? I like colorful feather ideas the other were posting about.
