Honestly I just need a place to complain about the anguish I put myself through for fanfics and other petty struggles of a delicate Southern flower trying to survive in Canada. Feel free to comment, lament, and paint on the wall sheets.

There is to be no: hate, unkind words, reversing gravity, summoning hordes of undead (max 5 undead per summoning), making ill-advised deals with the Fair Folk, declaring war or blood feud, spontaneous combustion, or outside food or drink. In other news, we'll hopefully be moving soon, to an apartment with more than two square feet of counterspace! I have been suffering in this kitchen y'all. I can have the cutting board or the crock pot on the counter at the same time, but not both. And only if there's nothing else on it. New kitchen is massive. My wife had to drag me away at the end of the viewing. I'm in love.

Current mood: that feel when you'd fistfight someone for some TH tea but you only own one car and your wife is at work.

Tim Horton's. It's a Canadian coffee house chain (you can tell I'm not not from around here because I call it TH instead of Tim's). They actually brew the tea for you instead of handing you a tea bag and a cup of hot water and wishing you luck, which is great. Also the pause when I ask for a medium tea with 9 sugars and you can tell all the employees are taking a second to question their hearing will never not be funny to me.

There's a Tim Horton's that's technically within walking distance of our house. Along a major road with no sidewalks. Through an industrial neighborhood. Across two separate sets of railroad tracks. So I would prefer not to walk.

The medium is 14oz, I'm pretty sure. Depending on how I'm feeling, I usually get a medium tea with 7-10 sugars. Small (10oz) is usually 5 or 6. I don't get larges(20oz) often, so it still legit shocks the poor cashier when I look them in the eye and ask, straight-faced and completely serious, for 12-15 sugars. The instant understanding when my wife says "he's from Mississippi" is another thing I find hilarious. The Southern lust for sweet tea holds worldwide infamy. I love it.

That's... a LOT of sugar. My teeth hurt just thinking about it LOL Also, your avi is AWESOME

weezee- Most places around here just. Don't have sweet tea. Most of them don't have Dr. Pepper, either, which is my other drink of choice. I drink a lot of Sprite when we go out to eat. I thought the cold would be the worst part of moving to Canada, but turns out it's actually the drink selection. /insert scare chord

Yeah but that's what iced tea is! Cold tea with sugar! Well okay, most people use a mix, but still.

Sweet tea is a subset of iced tea. All sweet tea is iced tea, but not all iced tea is sweet tea. The further south you go, though, the more likely you'll have to specify unsweetened and/or hot, because by the time you hit Mississippi, sweet iced tea is just called 'tea'.

Well in Canada iced tea is sweet LOL

Confused the crap outta me when I went to NYC and ordered iced tea at a restaurant and they asked if I wanted it sweetened or unsweetened LOL
