Hehe, it's basically tea with sugar... a lot of sugar in most cases.

Sounds like it's rather sugar with some tea in it

thetruthbetween- Probably matched the confusion my poor Northern family members feel while being informed that this particular establishment does not, in fact, carry tea that is not sweet. It's happening less these days, but ten years ago it was even odds whether there was any tea in a given restaurant that far south that wasn't full of sugar.

Flederfalle- My mother, who claims to be Southern but is in fact a New Yorker at heart and we all know it, said the same thing. Every time she saw me making myself tea. "You want some tea with that sugar?" while I stand there pouring way more sugar than I originally intended into the mug because I'm a grown man Mom I can have a solid block of tea-flavored sugar if I want and you can't stop me.

I mean, tea should absolutely be sweet, but damn. That's just... way too sweet LOL

Yes it is but I am fueled almost entirely by fanfiction and spite, so I'll drink it, anyway.

😂 That's 100% valid LOL (Also mood)

A lot of my fanfiction, incidently, is also fueled by spite.

We're hopefully going to start moving stuff to the new place tomorrow. The new kitchen's gonna make me cry, I know it.

Spitefiction is the best. I have a ship that every time I write a fic of them, someone anon reviews "STOP WRITING" and similar, and I'm like... No. And it fuels my drive to write more of that ship LOL

Ooo moving is exciting!

Honestly I've done it so often that it mostly feels normal at this point. My last move was in February, and that was moving to a whole different country. I'm just glad I won't have to do most of the packing and heavy lifting myself this time.

Some people apparently don't move on an average of once every two years? Sounds fake, but okay.

Holy crap LOL IDEK what the average move time is for me. I know the shortest I went between moves was 2 months, and the longest was 8 years

It's been over 5 years since I've moved, and I don't plan on moving anytime soon. xD I absolutely hate moving. Did get lucky last move tho and didn't have to move any of the heavy stuff. Thank goodness for young male cousins. LOL They moved the stuff like it was nothing.

My last move was into a 3rd floor walk-up. Lemme just say: my friends love me and I am so grateful LOL

Neither of my parents knew how to hecking sit still. I've lived up and down both coasts of the US multiple times and quite a few places in between, thanks to them and work. But this time we can afford to hire movers, since it'll take maybe two trips and the new place is a five-minute drive away, so that's good.

The worst part's gonna be getting the cat into his carrier. He does not like that thing at all.

I used to put my cat in feet first. Tip the carrier up so it's upright, hold cat under front legs, slide cat into carrier

How does your cat feel about being picked up in general? Because mine's not a fan. To put it mildly. He's a grumpy old man kitty but we love him.

I usually leave the carrier boxes standing around with open door, like regular furniture, and after a while, they don't pose threats to the cats anymore so they just sleep inside. Makes it easier to put them in there when they need to be carried around.

Our carrier's been sitting in the living room since we brought him home for that very reason, but he's a grumpy old man cat who was a stray six months ago, so he's still a bit eh about the whole thing.

My cat was weird about being picked up. Like he didn't have an issue with it, but he would noodle. Just go completely limp. To the point where I sometimes started to drop him because he was a furry sack of jello and hard to hold onto LOL

Karthenia

The only time Zipper doesn't mind being picked up is when I put him on my bed, because it's too high for him to just jump on, so he stands in the middle of the room yelling at me until I transfer him. He's 6 years old and it's a bit over 3 feet high, so fair enough, I say.

Yeah, my friend's cat is the say way. She's not old, but she's fat. Haaaates being picked up, unless it's for me to plunk her on my bed when I was living there. It was nice that she hated getting picked up so much, cuz when she'd go outside and it was time for her to come back in, I trained her to come when called. Cuz if she didn't, I'd go out there and pick her up and carry her inside and she hated that LOL

My mom's cat Mister was the same way. His thing was that he was big and he was fat. Kitty weighed about 35 pounds when she got him. Needed a dog carrier because he wouldn't fit in any of the cat ones. It used to be a common sight around campus to just see my mom walking this massive black and white cat on a leash because he needed the exercise. He's slimmed down a lot, I think last time she relayed numbers he was closer to 22 pounds, but still. Boy definitely has some Coone in him.
