A doll to put on your wishlists, @trystan ? I like the poppel feature.
My NaNo stuff. I really disliked the main character in 'Sylvia' for a long time. But then people did read it, and they liked her and told me why, and I understood her better. And 'Other Trails' is that story that the writing books told me not to write... none of the three main characters are human. 'Sylvia' is also my attempt at Distopic fiction, and I lost a friend over it who was convinced I was being a racist hag.

If you use buttons with a stem, you could pull the string to the back of the head to make them look like fancy stuffed toy eyes. Though button eyed dolls are beautiful. I have a big rag doll with massive button eyes.
And I'm babbling from tiredness. Sorry, @trystan.

Thanks, @trystan.
LOL I've been staying up too late working on a story. Makes doing other things hard. Like being awake. But I got another of the cute little mini doll kits that the dollar store sometimes carries, and they're for kids and actually easy to put together, so I've been working on her. Little fat blue haired dark skinned mermaid.

Awww. I've done... three NaNos. I don't think I could do another. The first one, the story just POURED out of me. It felt like it wasn't me writing at all, and it's a lot more complex than what I usually do, though still a simple and short story. The other two are set in the same Sci Fi reality as each other, though they're not really sequels as just stuff happening in the same reality.
And I got so discouraged when I was writing them. I was careful with spelling, had a plot going, but nobody was interested and were all praising the badly spelled, horribly paragraphed plotless things that were only written for porn.

oh that dragon is adorable!!
i totally get that, about the words pouring out. NaNo is more about the writing than the spelling. i'm sure my NaNos have horrendous grammar mistakes. in fact, i wanted to look up something in one of my nanos the other day (a name), and corrected a phrase that was missing a word
2018 and 2019 were related stories in the same world.... and 2016 was a timey-wimey prequel to the one i wrote in 2014.
i've done NaNo since 2011 (minus 2015), and 2020 was the first time it didn't feel like all the others. as my older daughter put it, i was trying to write a feel-good story in 2020. to me, it seems like there's so much more i feel i could do with it, but it's just not coming to me. but - many moons ago, i wrote a fanfic that i had trouble finishing, and i forced myself to finish it, and i didn't like it for the longest time. then, only a few years ago, i'd reread it, and it was actually pretty good!
the nanowrimo link in my sig is a link to an index of all my nanos i've written (listed reverse chronologically.)
we'll see what this november brings!

Busy day today. Found a doll I want at the store, and then there are groceries to get. All before noon, but after ten o'clock.

Dunk it back in water. So maybe Tam needs to go for a nice hot soak in the bath 😁
