I remembered how to use it. I did not remember how to thread the bobbin...so yeah I was super thankful for the manual! But two out of four done!

Oh yes threading bobbins can be lots of fun. I’m working with one nowadays that isn’t the one on which I learned and the thread cutter is in a different spot and it still breaks me

Hiya! Just started Fall break today... SOOO happy for the week off!

Cheesecake, the German version. Only a small one though.
500g quark, 100g cream cheese, 90ml oil (with a neutral flavour, e.g. sunflower seed oil), 100g sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 bag of this: https://www.oetker.de/unsere-produkte/original-pudding/original-pudding-vanille-geschmack
Mix it all in a bowl until it's smooth, put it into a small round form (I think it's about 17 or 18cm in diameter - it's currently in the oven so I cannot check ) for 60 minutes at 160°C with air circulation.
Let cool down over night, THEN remove it from the form and enjoy.

All I can think about is the subatomic particle. And this song called Strange charm by Hank green? I think it’s hank green. A quark is a fundamental constituent of matter observed in 1968 through deep elastic scatter. We found protons aren’t as simple as we thought we thought they were solid particles but they are not xD

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was exhausting. I drove to Madison Wisconsin on Friday to meet two friends that I met on Facebook a while back. We had met in real life before, and we got together for lunch. It's a college burger place called Dottie Dumplings Dowry. Their burgers are fantastic, and the company was even better. It's about a 2 hour round trip to and from Madison, and I was tired when I got home. Got up early Saturday to make a pot luck dish and go to our Knit Fest at church. I stayed from 11 till 2, just working on hats. Then came home and within a few hours I was running a 100 degree fever and was in so much pain. I was having a fibro flare up. I feel better now, no fever, but I'm still achy all over.
So I had a great weekend, just overdid it.

hahahahahah I'm not panicking. Who said anything about panicking. This is FINE.

(I finally got feedback on my personal statement for this grant/fellowship application from people who have no personal investment in making me happy Which while super duper important because it was needed was also REALLY harsh and led to a couple bouts of crying interspersed with the edits/improvements. I am grateful, because there be many improvements. But also ouch having about 30 people anonymously tell me that your story was uncompelling confusingly structured and that your grammar is trash was "fun") it was also confusing because there were a couple that were absolutlely glowing (though even those agreed with the need for editing) I called my mother who didn't answer and my grandma who I talked to for an hour and a half which made me feel much better.
