Also I have started watching the ministry of time on netflix and it is so amazing. It's a time travel/sci fi like thing and I love it so much. (to be entirely fair I love a lot of sci fi/fantasy whether it's any good or not but this one is actually good) Sometimes I love things that are just so truly bad one has to love them.

Sounds like a fun show! My favorite movie is The Princess Bride, I love how bad the jokes are!!!

Home for the holidays is both amazing and terrible at the same time. amazing in that I get to see my family and think about things other than school for a while (except for that one prof who STILL hasn't posted our grades even though we turned in our papers and gave our final presentations on the fourth but that's fine) and terrible in that our house is full of stuff we're trying to go through, put prices on, and sell.

Wow star, that has to be super stressful!!

It's worse for my mom. She's been trying to get a handle on/make progress on this for months. I certainly don't love it but I'm more pleased I can be somewhat helpful than anything else. This sorting things valuing them and putting them on craigslist is way more within my abilities than last year's help me put up a fence. We have talked about my chronic pain a little bit but I don't think she quite gets that holding up fence panels, drilling holes in cinderblock walls, etc is not quite ideal for me anymore

Aww, star I'm so sorry! I have chronic pain as well, I know first-hand how difficult it is to do some things, and how much we don't want to let our loved ones down! *tight hugs*

Overall it isn't too bad. And this break I just get to put stuff on craigslist and take pictures and help find boxes etc which is something I can totally do/help with easily so it's been great! I mostly worry about how well I'll be able to function when I actually get old. As fun as the ha ha I'm an old woman so I have to go to sleep early and take lots of breaks and just not do certain things jokes are, I'm a bit worried about the fact that arthritis and things will probably happen making my day to day functioning more difficult

I gave a stupid answer to a question and I can’t really fix it now because it’s too late. Life is what it is and sometimes I’m not a fan of the linearity. Time to use it as a learning experience and try to move on.

Awww, I'm sorry hon, what's wrong? Would you like to talk? I'm holding up okay, considering I'm out of one of my important medications till March 1.

i'm just surviving the week. School is a lot this week. But school will be less next week. And Friday is my last midterm. EVER. Which is awesome. And I am woefully underprepared for it (I also had another midterm, an original research proposal topic, a problem set, and a presentation this week) and also I did some math and my GPA is high enough it can absorb a C so I'm good. (I also probably won't get a C, since historically I underpredict my own performance/recovery ability). my therapist called me out today and definitely was going through the depression screening checklist/interview and I was like I see your checklist, I don't like your checklist because I resent/resemble those definitions and I don't appreciate that about myself. So there may have been some I see and avoid your checklist and he was like yes that's a nice avoidance, now answer the checklist question. (this one is actually a good therapist for me, because he definitely sees through and just politely redirects my attempts to avoid answering questions i don't like). It's good. He's good at his job. I'm just inherently difficult. And really tired today which is not helping (brought this on myself. Procrastinated too much and then generated the presentation for this morning starting at like 10pm last night)

Aww star I'm sorry your so stressed and depressed. But I'm glad you have a good therapist. I love mine too, she's an absolute sweetheart, and she sees through my excuses.

I made it through the last midterm I ever have to take this morning! FREEDOM! (I think there may still be one traditional "exam" in my future but that's in the class I got a 96 on the midterm for so I'm not that worried

I really wish I could go home and actually celebrate that. Unfortunately we're busy trying to recruit new students so this weekend is mostly that. Hopefully I'll have some time to relax and celebrate on Monday.
