juneberry - when you're in the box to create your post, there's an A button, which puts [*font=][/font] (without the *) in the post field. after the "=" you'll need the name of the font in there [*font=trebuchet][/font], and then put your text between the ][ brackets, like this: [*font=trebuchet]text[/font] which will look like this. you can change the size with the next button, the T with the up/down arrow: [*font=trebuchet][*size=20]text[/size][/font], which makes this instead. you'll need to take out the *'s for the coding to work.

I love your font. I didn't know we could change fonts! How do you choose one (like is there a list?) and how do you not be lazy to code it in? xD

My font is "french script", and while there is no list here, I found this from WORD, but there are lots of fonts out there. You should try one out as a Preview first though, since I found several that didn't seem to work, at least on my computer when I looked at it later. Also keep in mind, that some fonts may only show properly for those who have the font already downloaded. Much safer to pick a color, like weezee.

Dude! Cool!

My beta reader has been MIA for days, and despite having spoken to her almost daily for >10 years, I know almost nothing about her except that she's married with a stepdaughter and lives in Texas, so I have no way of finding out if anything happened to her. I am sad.

@Demyx - that is sad. {{hugs}} we had some worrisome moments about someone this site over on the discord. someone had posted they were in contact with family members of someone who passed away recently (cancer, covid, don't remember) (and the person might have been active on the Uni sites? i don't remember now).... but all they had was a screen name and didn't know all that much beyond screennames and a few first names, so for a while we thought it was someone else who died.
as a result, i now have a line in most of my profiles that has my real name in it.
and then yesterday, i read an article where someone who was an active blogger was ghosted by someone that was her online friend for 15+ years, and the person just took down all their social media and changed her phone number. made me find an author friend i had a silly falling out with a number of years ago, i found the author friend on goodreads and started following her. there still is someone that i knew in high school and college.... and we were really good friends for a few years (until she, erm, stole my boyfriend and i had to find out about it by myself. it was all kinda petty and .... weird, honestly). from time to time, i wonder what she's up to.

I was just thinking today that I wish I could be in contact (preferably friendly) with SOMEONE from my blood family. It's been so long. Thankfully, I've been able to be in contact with a couple of online friends that I was once very close to, and that helps a lot.

I have fairly strong ties with blood family because I currently live with them, but I'll have to move away to another state for my job. The movie will happen sometime next month probably.

There are some online friends that I lost touch with after they left a forum or the forum shut, and it's sad every time that happens.

On the plus side, my beta reader is back in contact. Apparently she spent a long birthday weekend traveling.

What kind of writing do you have the beta reader for? Is it a novel?
