Nooo. Even inside I feel the cold humidity that way, @trystan

But yeah. Cold winds are mean.

I think I have a turkey coma.

'cold humidity' seems to me like an awkward term though.

It sure feels mean.

Yup. I bought a bag of turkey bacon ends, and ate most the skin off 'em.

I love turkey bacon, though I don't fry it. I tend to fix it in more old fashioned ways, like in soups and stuff.

Been cooking a lot yesterday. And I usually have no idea what to call what I've fixed. I didn't know I had a stew yesterday til I sent a photo to my employer and she said it was stew. I guess it WAS kind of like Korean Army Stew.

experimenting with cooking sounds like fun.... that's how new dishes are invented!

Yeah... so long as I don't over spice again. I told my Indian employer about that incident yesterday, and she laughed so hard.

My eyes were running, my nose was running... It still tasted good, though!

So did the eggplant dip I bought and ate today with veggie chips, but now my insides are letting me know I overdid it with the veggies and garlic. *oops*

Do you ever go into the kitchen and just make tasty messes from stuff you find in the cupboard and fridge?

Ohhh. I'm finding it can be fun. I was actually experimenting even today, when I was tired and achy from work. I saw the eggplant needed cooking, and threw a piece of skin from the turkey bacon in there to see if there would be turkey bacon fat for the eggplant to soak up.

Anyway. How're you doing? How's the weather where you're at? Sorry for talking about me so much.

You're kind.

Oh, I wasn't using leftovers. heh. I try not to have those by only cooking a bit at a time unless it's mostly veggies. I don't want the temptation to just eat too much. I'm lazy too. I think a lot of the time I'm motivated by, "Oh, that won't keep. I can't waste it!"

Awwwww. It's weirdly warm here right now. Plus four C even after dark. (about 40F)

yep, that's me too. i mean i do have a few random ingredients in my cabinet, but not much else to mix the pasta or rice with though.

right now it's 39F, and thursday's high will be in the low 50sF, no matter where i am.

I think most of my ... can't think of the word. Forward momentum in the kitchen is kind of hand and hand with my determination to eat less carbs and more veggies. I'm learning to love things made with chickpea flour, especially the idli that my employer bought me and which I steamed and ate with tomato chutney tonight. So nice and carby tasting, but full of protein!

Awww. Keep warm.

I made a second baby purple people eater this afternoon. It went fast because I used a chunky yarn, and made it so I didn't need to sew on ANYTHING.

the 50sF is weird at this time in November!

oh cool! not sewing things together is awesome!

I've been drinking V8 again. I know people are like, "Ahhhhh, SALT!" but I have chronic low blood pressure anyway. Also, one of the vendors at the market sells bags of mixed cherry tomatoes. And most of the red ones in the last bag I bought were way smaller than cherries, and very sweet and nice. Better than jelly beans.

Awww. I know my friend in Texas actually has it about the same temp as we're having here right now. Only she and the other locals aren't used to it! Mind you, neither are we. This is supposed to be a la Nina winter, not a warm one.

It's SOOOO good. I still have to try and adapt the little dino pattern so I don't have so many little pieces to sew on there, because I'm sure the cute little things would sell.

Tonight I ate curried okra stuffed with chickpea flour. And sipped some almond milk, because it was kinda hot for me. LOL

Yup.
I love the look of some vintage patterns... but many of them have SO much sewing.

I might be some AWOL for a bit. Migraine.
