Thanks! I didn't use a pattern except for the memory of a doll head that I made around thirty years ago, which in turn was based on a pin cushion I think I had a pattern for back then.
I'm SO tired.

@trystan LOL How about the camping gear? (yes, I'm being silly now. Sorry)
I think I have finally hit the denial stage of grief. It's trippy.

@trystan , and now I'm wondering if you even keep camping gear in boxes. I know a lot of it comes in its own bags.
Thanks. The weird thing is that I don't seem to just be in that stage of grief for Arnold. Last night I dreamed that my childhood home- torn down and burned over thirty years ago if I'm counting right- was whole, rebuilt, and beautiful. No longer small and dark, but bright, with big windows and high ceilings and lots of room. The place hasn't existed since I was twelve years old, and I'm a year away from fifty now, but I want to go back to it so badly.
On a more cheerful note. I accidentally threw a little fit in the washing machine. She survived. (it's a little yarn doll.)

Got home yesterday exhausted from work, but the neighbours were being too loud to let me rest. Going to work this morning was not comfortable, but thankfully I'd figured out that the ice cleats a friend bought fit on the uggyboots. So I only slipped a couple times on the walk to work. W00t.
Oh yeah... it's winter here now.

Tam, that purple creature is adorable.
We're getting our first winter storm here, from Alaska. Not really cold, low 60's, but the rain is coming in sideways, which is always fun.

@trystan , I take that back. It's bitterly freezing out now. That's too scary to go out in, but I'm working!
@Yeladim , watching the rain go sideways from the eighth floor or higher is really entertaining... and a lot less weird than when it looks like it's raining UPward.
Baby purple people eater says thank you!

Thanks, @trystan
One good thing about freezing cold is that I don't have to dodge puddles, or dodge slush thrown by the traffic. It's also easier for me to breathe than in humid cold.

trystan
i'm not a fan of humidity, but it's better when it's cold out than the summer. ick.

Not for me, @trystan . I like it when my winter coat can actually keep me warm, but winter humid cold goes right through the coat and into the bones.
Finished another shroom baby and started on a cuddlefish today. The cuddlefish used to be the scarecrow doll I was making, but since I bought a scarecrow, I didn't need two. Found out that only half (literally) of the giant googly eyes I bought actually move.
