Weezee,
Glad to hear everything went well for you! And yeah, definitely a good thing but always kind of scary too anytime you go under the knife.

Yes, went back on Monday and got the stitches out. The Dr. also told me it was skin cancer, HOWEVER, the margins are negative so I'm considered cured. Nothing more to worry about right now. It's looking really good, and my black eye is almost gone. LOL The black eye looked really bad end of last week, but again didn't hurt. THANK GOODNESS!

Hey weezee. Great news on the surgery. So happy. I'm at the point where I go every year for a checkup and have little bits frozen off. Luckily nothing big, but after all those years out in the sun, I know it is just a matter of time.
Ko-fi Bean

Etherea
Weezee, Hopefully you're black eye is pretty much better by now. Glad it didn't hurt at least. And also glad to hear that while it was cancerous, it's all been removed, that's very good for sure. Though, something you definitely want to stay on top of and make sure to get check ups every so often. I'm sure it's a relief to have the growth gone though and being on the mend. Do you have more follow up visits anytime soon or pretty much good for a while?

Halloweezee
And I will certainly keep an eye on any other "growths" I have a few, but they have not grown since I got them, so I'm pretty sure those are just skin tags. Annoying and will prolly find someone to take those off eventually, but the one off my head has made my confidence shoot up!
I have another follow up next week on the 17th. My black eye is completely gone, and the scar seems to be doing a lot better. I think that's what he wants to check out so I'm sure it'll be a quick visit. The last 2 have been as well.
I do quite like the doctor so I'll certainly be going to him for ACTUAL ENT things if I ever need to.
Not only is my confidence up from that growth gone, but I've lost 45lbs!!!
YAY ME!

Heck yeah, that's awesome and I bet you do feel quite a bit better both things considered! And YAY YOU exactly, that's definitely something to be proud of I'm so happy for you.
Also, liking your doctor helps quite a bit for sure. I moved to where I am now from a small town and had the same doctor for most of my life so moving to a bigger city and trying to find someone I really liked took a long time. I finally found one though and been with him for a couple years however, I really didn't go in regularly like I should have been. I recent went though and did blood work and also had the discussion about getting on antidepressants. I had tried Wellbutrin once before when I was a little younger and it made me highly irritable so this time the doc prescribed Lexapro. Just started taking it last week so too soon to tell anything really but here's hoping that it helps or at the very least doesn't have any adverse effects like the Wellbutrin did.

Thank you!
I do hope that it helps and has no adverse effects! I had some swelling from the first blood pressure meds my doc put me on, and had to ask to be changed to something else after it not getting any better but worse. It was soo annoying! This new stuff seems to be ok... tho my potassium was down with the last blood work so I had to do more a week ago, but haven't heard anything about if I got that back up or not. So that's another waiting game to me xD If it doesn't get better, time to try another med. >_< LOL

So far so good, no adverse effects anyway. I have also noticed that I'm able to focus a bit better too so far so that's good as well.
Yeah, I have to take blood pressure meds as well and it seems they are not helping much anymore so that's something we're watching now too. (Prolly doesn't help I'm a smoker and know I need to quit. I have before but just with everything that's gone on in the last year or so my hearts not in quitting yet) Bodies suck. That's awful that it go worse for you though that's messed up! The waiting game, bleh. Still waiting to hear back about my vitamin D levels which I'm sure are low but still want to wait for him to tell me the dosage on supplements I should take.
I hope I never get to the point where my parents are grandparents are with their meds that they have to have alike a weekly organizer with am, noon, and pm slots for all their meds on a daily basis. Thankfully I only take 3 regularly: blood pressure, birth control, and now the Lexapro. I do have prescript meds for my migraines that I can take as needed too.
I know my main issues are that I smoke and am overweight. Honestly though, those aren't easy things to tackle with depression. I'm hoping here in the next month or so I'll have enough of the Lexapro in my system that I'll get a little more energy and push to work on those things because other that I'm not in too bad of shape health wise. I don't really eat terribly but I sit in an office all day and don't really exercise. It's hard to though when you're just mentally and physically constantly exhausted all time.

I used to smoke, but I quit in August of last year. I'd smoked since I was 18 and quit a few months before 40.
It wasn't too hard, but you're right, you have to WANT to to be able to fight the cravings! I gained weight back that I had lost over the summer after quitting, BUT I've re-lost that weight and a little more I think.
It is NOT easy. >_<
Anyways, I finally heard back from the Dr, wants me to come in so we can talk about other options for the med I'm on cuz even with all the potassium I been trying to eat/drink it's still low.
My mom takes like 17 meds a day, but only AM/PM. I only take 6? but 3 are vitamins (multi, b12, vitamin e), 1 is for blood pressure, 1 is for allergies, and the other is for acid reflux.
Exercise can be hard to get into sometimes. You really have to find something you like to be able to do that and it's sooo much easier with a partner!
That's why my routine crashed when I quit smoking cuz I was doing it alone...
But my bff got one of those infinity hoops and said I could use it cuz she can't right now. So Hoping it fits and it works. If it does I will sooooo be buying my own!

That's a long time of smoking, congrats on finally being able to quit! I started casually, like socially at parties and stuff, when I was about 19 then by about 21 was a full on smoker. Quit when I was pregnant, picked it up again a couple years later. Quit again and picked it up again lol. I'm just about ready but not quite there yet hopefully it's for good this next time though.
Ugh, that's annoying, when you're trying to do the things and it's just not working. Hopefully you've some pretty easy or simple options that will get it lined out for you. The potassium levels can effect your blood pressure to, can't they?
6 isn't too bad, especially if some are just vitamins. I'm used to taking nightly meds but it's taken a bit to form the habit of taking one it the morning now too.
I've seen those and wondered how well they work. You'll have to let us know what you think of it!
Dancing and walking/jogging are probably the best exercises that suit me, the motivation though as of late, ugghhh lol.

Halloweezee
Thanks!
It wasn't so much the craving of a cig that was hard it was the HABIT of smoking that was hard to break. Like how you always smoke when in the car or after eating... it was hard to not pick it up just out of habit rather than want.
I haven't been able to use the hoop but one other time since I got it. I've been working outside getting our porch fixed up and by time I come in I'm too pooped to even think about it. LOL It's looking great tho!

Yeah, I get that. The habit is a hard one to break and your exactly right, I always smoke after eating and when I don't have any kiddos as soon as I get in the car I light up.
Nice! Glad to hear you're making some progress on it. Our yard and well just everything outside is a mess. Overgrown and unkempt. I need to do so many things at home aside from your typical reoccurring usual stuff like laundry and dishes ect.

Yeah, I'm so glad I have summers off, or our yard/things outside would be a mess. LOL I have so much more time to work on it than most people. I do quite enjoy doing that kind of stuff too... most of the time. I hate pulling weeds, but it's also satisfying to remove them and see how much better it looks after! I just wish after you did it once they didn't come back... LMAO
THAT is what I get tired of, having to do it over and over in the same flower beds. >_< That is why when I made the one bed... it has no flowers, only gravel, so I only have VERY few weeds that end up creeping in... and only along the sides.
Here's what the front looks like rn. It looks good so you're like "what's the big deal?!" LMAO well, the whole front was sagging, if you look at the skirting you can see where it's been let down in places and it's dirty up near the top of it... that's how much we lifted the deck. It looks sooo awesome. I'm so happy with it. ^^ I need to take a picture in the dark so you can see the whole effect.

And this is the new bed I made last year cuz there isn't enough room for the lawn mower to go along side the carport and our neighbor (yes I think a pusher would have made it but the guy that mows uses a rider). It looks a bit different now and if it wasn't raining I'd take a pic of what it looks like now, but that will have to wait.

No I hear ya, weeds are annoying and it's a constant thing. I enjoy that type of stuff as well, it's just finding the time. I'm glad you have the opportunity to keep up with it though. I can see kind of what you are talking about by looking at the skirting and wow, that must have been sagging quite a bit! It looks great now though! I love all your decorations by the way.
I like your beds too and I think that's a good idea to help with the weeds, using rocks. Eventually when we clean up the back yard near the patio I think that's what we will do as well, put down some rock. The person who owned it before us were an older couple who, to my understanding spend most of their mornings out there tending things. It was really pretty when we first moved in, there's a little coy pond (though we don't have any fish in it) with a fountain and water lilies, daffodils, daylilies, peonies, spiderwort all types of things. However, they only had mulch down with no barrier underneath and since we definitely aren't out there all the time tending to it become a jungle. Our neighbors also have mimosa trees which are really pretty but extremely evasive and annoying so that means now we have them constantly trying to pop up all over our yard.
My plan for this year though is to at least prep everything for how I want it to look next year. Get the weeds and mimosa sprouts under control, prep the ground for a garden next year, and rips up everything by the back patio to redo the landscaping with rocks and then raised beds that the dogs wont be able to get in. We'll likely redo the little pond as well because the dogs think it's a small pool for them :-/ and theirs a leaks somewhere that prevents the fountain from running properly so it's just stagnant gross water.

yeah, I put down black trash bags under the gravel. I totally thought mulch was the way to go... it was so not.. LMAO I put some behind our porch in a patch that was also hard to get to with the mower and omg... weed city.
And it's growing IN the mulch not from under it as it has roof shingles under it (it was low so we added those so water didn't stand there). Now I realize I do need to do something with that area again, but no many see it so it's not a necessity like the front.
I would love to have a pond, but that's way too much to keep up with. lol

Yeah, mulch can look nice and has it's uses but unless you're out there upkeeping all the time I've found it's more of a hassle and waste of money in the long run. That's really annoying, that it was growing in the mulch! lol Nice that it's not in a highly visible area though so you can kind of change it more at you leisure when you have the time.
The pond was really cute but yeah it is a lot of upkeep. They had even groomed an eastern redbud tree to kind of grow bending over it which looked kind of cool at first by they went a little drastic with it and now it's about to fall over an uproot itself. Hubs wants to try and keep it and just like prop it up but I feel like it's not going to be doing so well as it gets bigger.

Yeah, I want to use gravel and unless you have a lot of money you can't buy it by the truckload which is actually cheaper I think IF you need that much, but we don't, so it's annoying. And at $5 a bag (managed to catch them on sale last year for $3 a bag), getting even 5 isn't cheap. LOL We need 5 right now to fix up what we have (more would be better but I think we can work with just 5 and make it enough). Plus those damn things are heavy! LOL And can hurt a car if you put too much in them! So we need to wait for my uncle so we can use his truck and get them... tho I think 5 wouldn't hurt my car, I don't wanna take the chance.
Thanks! I got bored and with the 4th coming just a few weeks away I figured, why not?! LOL

They are heavy, bags of any landscaping stuff is heavy. I don't blame you for not wanting to put it in your car. That's the type of stuff you need either a friend with a truck or a trailer or something to help you out with. Doesn't help that over the last few years building and landscaping materials have went through the roof. I mean everything costs more with inflations but I know those areas got hit hard. They are finally starting to calm down a little though.
