the only things that really make me lose it is sexual molestation & rape but i can still deal with it. so im sure ill be able to handle your book, even if it has that in there. Well there's mentions of that, but it mostly deals with the after effect, both physical and mental... no actual scenes in there! And I know what you mean; I watch and read stuff all the time that just makes me so upset, but I love it? It's so weird...

Vee; I'm still going through the process, so by the time the editor gets finished with it, it'll probably be a month or so... So I expect it will be ready to buy in jan/feb of the new year. Don't quote me though! xD

Think I'm still in the second season! Slow going because I'm a total chicken!

I found it much more funny than scary. xD Also it changes a LOT after season 2/3 as it gains more plot focus... and then after season 5 it's almost a different show.

You're braver than me! It freaks me out so bad. The second episode in the first season, the one with the wendigo, terrified me. I slept with the light on for a few nights! I can handle blood and gore, but things like Supernatural spook me out big time. I Am Legend had me sleeping with the light on for a good solid month or so. *shudder* Zombies or anything remotely zombie-esque is a huge nope for me!

I love vampires and werewolves though for instance, they don't bother me a bit. I had someone tell me that the Underworld movies scared them and I was like, "whhhhat?" lol! (she was heavily into Twilight *gag*)

I love the Borderland Novels by Lorna Freeman. Still keeping a look out for the fourth book, even though there has been no word about it or the author for several years.

Lucille; Haha I'm kind of having the same reaction you had to your friend. xD I mean I'm not trying to dismantle your fears, they're valid, but I find it really funny? I guess it's just that I've never found anything supernatural esque scary in the slightest. I was the child who wanted to make friends with the monster under the bed.
Now HUMANS, humans TERRIFY ME. We are far more scary than any supernatural creature. Dx Not too mention the most deadly creature on the planet.
(Also I can't stand twilight. Dx I don't even get into the plot, to each their own, but the WRITING! *cringes* I tried, when it very first came out, and the ERRORS I FOUND. I broke me inside.)

Ah I hate it when an author or series seems to vanish from the earth. ; Especially when you really, really want more! Hopefully she'll magically appear with the fourth book someday.

I have more books than I know what to do with (my shelves are barely holding them all up at this point) and sooo many favorite series.

Has anyone read any of Terry Pratchetts Discworld novels? They are hands down the funniest books you will ever read and there are so many of them! The Lunar Chronicles are also very much amazing (why aren't more people talking about them, it's literally about a mechanic Cinderella who is a cyborg!)

(And as a Potterhead I am bound by law to mention the Harry Potter books)

My latest great read though was Tiger's Curse and oooh boy is waiting for the next book going to be torture. I think I sped through the book in about two days and am currently trying to distract myself with other books as I wait for the next one to arrive.
