I ended up getting a Dun Mare. It surprised me for sure, but it feels a lot more like me than the bird I got before! Thanks again for posting the link! I feel a lot better about my patronus now. xD

Aww, no problem! I'm glad I could help you find a more preferable patronus, and a horse of any sort is super cool in my opinion! Then again, I also like birds, and, well, most animals really :p

Haha I love animals, even birds, I just have nothing that connects me to them at all. *shrugs* Honestly I know it wouldn't suit me but I was almost hoping to get a shark since they're my favourite animal. xD Or a unicorn since they're my favourite mythical animal.

I updated my count just so it would say something but so far I've written literally less than a paragraph. Soooo yeah, that's about where I am 
So many people already over 2K though, honestly I can tell that seeing all of you doing so much is going to be a good motivator for me :p

Thanks Eloquence. This is going a lot better for me than I had planned, but I still want to start out strong since there's going to be several days I won't get much time to write... also I won't be doing anything but pokemon and pizza on the 18th, so I need to hit my count for that day haha!

Ehhh, I'm working on it now and I have a good chunk of time to write but I'm really struggling with getting started and figuring out where exactly I want to go. I suppose that's what I get for committing so late but I'm very hopeful that things will get easier as I go along and figure out how to solidify the plot

Well if you need anyone to bounce ideas off of, I'm more than happy to help. I know everyone else on here is super great about that too, so you've got lots of people in your cheering section!
If you don't really have a plot yet, maybe try focusing on your characters instead? Just playing them out in a situation and seeing what they do and where they take you can really help generate ideas, at least in my experience.

Well, the main idea of what I'm writing is sort of being able to explore a "dual existence" (ie, the same person living in two different worlds) and playing with the idea of what parts of you change with your environment and what parts stay the same. It's cool but... complicated. I've given myself something rather challenging to work with I'm afraid 0_0

OH, I love those types of ideas! It is really complicated, but I find once you find your neutral ground, it's easier to communicate the rest when dealing with those sorts of themes. It sounds like it would be so exciting to read! As someone who has actually taken psychology courses simply for character development, I can say that this is one of the easiest ways to explore a character so thoroughly that people will relate to them as though they are quite real. Even though it's complicated, you have endless possibilities and great potential! *cheers for you*

Either way, it takes place in our time, but in a world where Gods and Goddesses were quite real and literal at one point. There was a war in the past between the Great Goddess and the King of Serpents, ending with the King's imprisonment and the banishment of his people. The book takes place centuries later, when the King's army rises up again and starts the second war with no warning. The main character is a scholar who has been researching ancient artifacts and ends up in possession of a journal from the first war that details all type of Alchemic solutions to either harm or help the King of Serpent's race of people. It gets pretty complicated, but she ends up being bitten by one of the snake people and is stuck between sides. She's not even the hero of the story, she's just some nerd girl who likes books and was in the wrong place at the wrong time.Wow kinda got carried away there lol.
