OMG SNEEPLE HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT?!

I'm hoping so. The details to make the plot work are still iffy, but the character design is going amazingly well! Plus, I'm so excited, because this is the first book I've written when white characters are the minority! Almost all the characters are POC, and I even have a character who is agendered and uses they/them pronouns! It's interesting to write and I love it.

Oooh now here's a thread after my own heart. I love books. I'm always reading something 'nods' at the moment its Rob Thurmans Niko and Cal series. I like Cal. then agian i like a lot of the semi main characters fo the storiess.

Aww, thank you! At this point I am definitely not making 50K but I'm happy with what I've written. I'll just write enough to make 30K from here and call it good, I think. 20K is pretty good too though, I think that's a total you can be very happy about! After all, what matters is that we wrote something, even if neither of us made that big final goal

I read Where the Wild Rose Blooms by Lori Wick yesterday. I'm thinking about reading the next one in that series, but I'm not really in the mood for that genre tonight. And since I've already read this whole series, I'm considering moving on to something else. My hubby got me Kindle Unlimited for my B-day this year, so if anyone has any suggestions that I can get on KU I'll love you forever.

Ah I hate it when an author or series seems to vanish from the earth. ; Especially when you really, really want more! Hopefully she'll magically appear with the fourth book someday.

This totally happened with a series I read by Melanie Rawn. I still hope that she will finish a series she started literally 20 years ago. I understand why she never finished it, but I still hold out hope that someday she'll be able to go back to it.

i dont go to sleep then and all i can do is read sooo some nights i read for hours lol sometimes ill read like three books in a week its stupid

I've read 4 books so far this week, and will probably read another tonight/tomorrow... I usually read at least 5 a week, but unfortunately that will probably be changing soon because well, hopefully, I'll be getting a job

Anyways, I'm a book junkie. I'm also one of those weirdos that liked Twilight; yes I heard that gasp Lucy! But to be honest I haven't read them in several years, so I've probably out grown them... I re-read books Iove. I can't tell you how many times I've read Tamora Pierce's books... At least 10+ for all of her main quartets. And I will never out grow her books

ah well that's good to know. im also a bit frustrated.. but that's a me thing 'nods' i have to find a coat.. and i'm having issues finding a coat in my size.. and yeah winter coats kinda a neccesary item.

Ughhh, So I've been trying to finish this book for like THREE DAYS!!! I'm one of those people that almost always finishes a book no matter what. But this one is a struggle. I like the idea, but I'm sooo very bored by it. I'm not sure, but I think it may be too much detail. All the detail is making it feel slow. I keep getting distracted by anything and everything. I'm like 80% through it and kind of just want to move on to something else.

If i can't get into a book.. i dont' finish it 'makes face' i know is hould i just.. don't.

FireLilly, you certainly don't have to finish it if you really don't want to. If I read that much of a book I'd want to see it through to the end, but everyone is different, and reading is supposed to be fun after all

I didn't finish it It was the first in a series, so I figure if I finish it I still wouldn't know what the overall ending was. Instead I moved on to the Darkness series by Stacey Marie Brown. I'm 1/3 of the way through the 4th (and last) book. I actually liked this series. It is a simple read, but not kid appropriate.

Edit 8 Dec: ok so I really enjoyed the Darkness series, but turns out the fourth book was way more... explicit?... (I think that is the word) than the others. More New Adult than Young Adult.

Let's see since then, I've read Manuscripts and Mistletoe by Carol Moncado (a cute, easy read novella) and If You Believe in Love by Staci Stallings (very poetry heavy.) I think I was trying to purge or perhaps atone for some of the scenes from the fourth Darkness book with these

I also started the Imdalind Series by Rebecca Ethington. I'm in to the second one right now, liking things so far...

I know what you mean. While I've kind of chosen to be hufflepuff, there are certain days of the year I feel much more ravenclaw. It's hard to be split between two houses. I love that the lore allows your choice to be taken into account though!

yeah i totally get that. i almost want to say i am much more hufflepuff now but.. so bad work ethic. xD i know i do a lot for caedon but thats different. i want to. i care about the site sooo much. im working hard because i want it to be a great place. any paying job ive had i have not felt that way. i dont care. im just there to make money. and ill do as little work as possible to do that xD and now i wont even do that because i dont care about money either xD

Well, no one likes working in the jobs that most people can get. It's not fun. Hopefully with enough time, you can maybe end up getting paid for your work on Cae. Live the dream, you know?
I'm jobless still and I haven't had any leads on good places to work. Trying to think about what I could do at home that wouldn't give me panic attacks. I wish a could be a writer for a site like this or Cae... or something like MyCena. That would be hella fun.

yeah ive read like... one or two books this year and that was in January. oh wait actually it might be like 4 i forgot i started rereading harry potter. xD but that barely counts haha and i havent read at all lately. been doing sudoku at night. its my new thing. i used to love it. now im addicted again lol

If I could write for Cae I would be ecstatic. But I'm pretty sure the one writer is all Imagi wants, right? Anyways, after the fiasco last time I doubt she's let me help out again. xD That was a disaster. Panic attacks suck big time.

Ok sudoku is soooo fun. I love it so much. If it was a game you could make currency from on any of the sites I'm on I would be rich. xD Such a blast!

yeah i dont really mind. i get paid both gears and ingots. so its kind of like getting paid money since now i dont have to donate my money xD which i wouldnt be able to do anymore, though i had been when i was working and before i was staff. and yeah i wanna give back to the site that has helped me so much so its worth it. also i want things to give people in my charity so i try to do a lot of work so i can have a lot of extra dis and gears to give out.

yeah for now i think only one writer is needed. however, when she is ready to release the beta site, she may be willing to hire another. i know they have plans for a lot more lore stuff - and things like a lore page and npc backgrounds and stuff. but im not sure if she wants more for that time but it wouldnt hurt to ask. well maybe ill just ask her xD

i dont know about that. before i was a mod i was really sucking at my job. someone else was assigned to avatar of the week. and tho that person couldnt do it anymore, it was given to someone else and not me again. then i stopped doing artisan things for a month and a half because i was really fucked up emotionally and mentally. but i talked to imagii about it and she said shed just give me a break and i could come back when i was ready. and i did. and then i got more stable and applied to become a mod. i was worried they wouldnt want me because of the past but they did. and idr if you knew about when i tried to be an artist? but thats was a huge failure, i too was having panic attacks and crying every time i tried to make items. one of my items did become an item for the site though. but yeah basically i had to drop out, and it was me who told her i couldnt do it anymore. but even after all those let downs they still gave me a bigger responsibility. imagii is really understanding about mental illness stuff. you just have to be honest with her. our current writer has stuff going on too. plenty of people on staff have a mental illness and i think theres a few with physical/health issues as well. so dont let that hold you back from trying to be on staff again.

I think one writer is usually enough until the lore and workload becomes much larger. Still, if it comes up, I wouldn't mind asking her... either way though. I love Caedon's lore and the current writer is fantastic!

I'm kind of sad because Sudoku is actually a game on Mycena, but you don't earn anything from it. And I'm like... WHYyyyyyyy? xD I could play all day toooo.
