I am excite!! My parents are visiting for 3 days, so I get to see them (They live in Saskatchewan and I live in BC and it's a 2 day drive, so I only get to see them a couple times a year)

Yay for visits Nic!! Both of my parents have passed away, I miss them both so much. When I lived in Wisconsin and they lived in California, I spent a fortune on long distance calls. That was way before cell phones LOL

Just got back! (Well, last night.) We had a really good visit. Even got to spent some one-on-one time with each of my parents, so that was nice. And got lots of loves in with their dog, who is the world's biggest sweetheart (I say as someone who generally doesn't like/is terrified of dogs). Had two family dinners, one with my brother, sister, and sister's boyfriend, and the other with my sister and her boyfriend. I didn't like the boyfriend tho, and neither did my parents, so here's hoping they don't last LOL

Guess who woke up at 5 in the am? If you guessed this dude, you guessed right!

The story goes like this:

I was sleeping with the A/C and a fan, and around 5, I woke up cold. And, like the brilliant person I am, I decided that the solution was not to turn my fan off, but to get another blanket. So as I was juuuust falling back asleep, I got way too hot. Finally took the blanket off, but by then it was too late. I'd gotten too hot, so I started feeling sick, feverish (I didn't have a fever, it just felt like it), and my skin got super sensitive, so it felt like my sheets were cheese graters.

So now I'm awake.

Time to get the day started

I don't like the day that early LOL

Oh man that sucks. I hate when I wake up at like 4 or 4:30 . . .

nearly impossible to get enough rest when that happens

So my roommate burned soup today. She was sad, but I laughed LOL

OMG that's hilarious!

Isn't it tho? LOL I tried to not laugh when she was around because she really was quite sad about it. She'd been looking forward to the soup. Then I found out that she's actually burned soup multiple times, and has never been able to make good soup from scratch (this was a mix) and I'm just... baffled. Soup is like literally the easiest thing in the world to make next to like, sandwiches

I have never heard of anyone doing anything like that before!

Neither have I, which is why I found it so funny LOL What makes it more hilarious is that she's otherwise a pretty good cook

She just needs the right youtube video tutoring her through it.

Youtube is the best for everything!!
