*deep sympathy* It was pretty hot today, for around here, but there was a breeeeeeze. Still, the mini macrons I bought were melty by time I got home.

yep - tomorrow's high is supposed to be 102F/38.8C! eek! today's high is "only" 97F/26C. we get a "break" on tuesday, when the high is supposed to be only 84F/28.8C.... and then right back to the lower 90sF. oof

Bleck. Working with an active COVID infection is about as fun as it sounds.

Also, it's really fun how our new manager is responding to our massive retention problem by cracking down on absenteeism in a way that affects those with the most seniority worst.

Also, my parents are douchebags. To be fair, I knew that already, but every time I hope I'm wrong about them and they might actually be better people than I think they are, they disappoint me.

I'm hoping my kids don't think I'm that way.... but the younger one (she's 21 now) is certainly convinced her father (my hubby, same guy) hates her. ugh. (and she hates the idea of us moving out to her part of the state where she goes to college. *sigh*

Today's asshattery comes in the form of "queer people are child molesters". Even inviting me to come to their house and bring the Widget if I ever "felt unsafe" around my wife and her friends. I feel the least safe around my parents; my wife is the one who's never hit me, belittled me, or tried to train me out of ADD.
